IAF's MiG-21 Crashed Near Sirsa Air Force Base

A  MiG-21 fighter jet of the Indian Air Force (IAF) has crashed in in a field of Mangalia village. The fighter pilot of the aircraft,  Squarden Leader Jaideep Singh was safely able to eject from his MiG-21 fighter jet which had encountered technical snags few minutes into the flight.


Indian MiG-21 suffered from the technical issues just after it took off from the after it took off form the Sirsa Air Force base. Indian Air Force send the three search & rescue teams in three helicopters which were able find the Squarden Leader Jaideep Singh  and brought him back to the air base.


A Indian Mig-21 crashed near the Uttarlai air base in ear;ier in October while another IAF MiG-21 crashed in Madhya Pradesh on February 4, 2011. Last year, Ten fighter jets of the Indian air force had crashed which included MiG-27s and MiG-21s. Indian air force has lost over 48 fighter jets since 2005.
