India and France Start ‘Shakti- 2011' Counter Terrorism Exercise

Indian and French armies has started the joint military exercise ‘SHAKTI- 2011’to improve their combat capabilities and increase inter-operability between the two armies.

‘SHAKTI- 2011’ is a 15 days long joint military exercise which will focus on the Counter Terrorism operations. 

Sixty 60 soldiers of the French elite 13 Mountain Battalion are taking part in the exercise along with their colleagues 2nd Bihar Regiments.
