INS Brahmaputra (F31) is a guided missile frigate of the Indian Navy. It was commissioned on April 14, 2000 by the India.
Project 16A Brahmaputra Class Frigates can carry Westland Sea King helicopter.
Brahmaputra class frigates carry sixteen 3M-24E (Kh-35 Uran) Anti-Ship Missiles which has a range of 130 km at 0.9 Mach, with a 145 kg warhead.
Indian navy Brahmaputra class frigates shud carry 15/20 Brahmos missiles of 300kms range rather than(Kh-35 Uran) Anti-Ship Missiles which has a range of 130 km.
