Mikoyan MiG-29 Fulcrum 4th generation fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force has crashed in the Lahaul Spiti region of Himachal Pradesh in India.

Indian MiG-29 Fulcrum fighter aircraft was on night flying exercise and was headed to Leh when it crashed after it lost contact with the Adampur Airbase which is located 21 kilometers Northeast of the city of Jullundur.

Fight pilot of the MiG-29 fighter jet is still missing and it is yet not clear if he was able to eject for the aircraft safely. Indian Air Force has launched search and rescue effort to recover the fighter pilot and rescue teams had reached the area by 3 am.
