The Indian navy will (phase-I) launch its 40,000 tonne Indigenous Aircraft Carrier Carrier (IAC) INS Vikrant on August 12 at Kochi. INS Vikrant is scheduled to join the Indian Navy by the end of 2018.
Indian Short take-off but arrested recovery (STOBAR) aircraft carrier is built by Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL).
