India Successfully Test Fires 4,000km Range Agni-IV ballistic missile

Indian missile developer, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has test-fired two stage Agni-IV ballistic missile with range of 4,000 kilometers (2,480 miles) from the eastern state of Orissa .

This is the 2nd successful test of the Agni-IV ballistic missile as its first test back in 2010 failed after the missile suffered from technical problems.

India is also developing 5,000-kilometer range Agni-V inter-continental ballistic missile (ICBM) and it was tested earlier this year in April.
