Indian Army Inducts BrahMos Supersonic Cruise Missile

The Indian Army has deployed a regiment of the BrahMos missiles in Arunachal Pradesh to improve its precision strike capabilities against China along the 4,057-km Line of Actual Control.

India plans to use BrahMos and the Prahaar missiles as tactical strike weapon systems to destroy the well defended enemy targets.The first BrahMos regiment of BrahMos became operational with the Indian Army in 2007 with 67 missiles, 5 launchers and two command posts.

Lt-General Vinod Nayanar has said that BrahMos offers unmatched firepower to the Indian Army to strike against enemy tragets from a distance of 300 kilometres at maximum speed of Mach 2.8 when flying at high altitude in cruise phase.

Indian Army's orders for BrahMos cruise missiles at cost of over $ 1.9 billion dollars. Indian Navy and Indain Air Force have ordered BrahMos cruise missiles worth over $ 715 million  and $ 260 million respectively.

    It will encourage more Indian youngsters to join Indian Army

  2. The Indian Army has deployed a regiment of the BrahMos missiles in Arunachal Pradesh to improve its precision strike capabilities against China along LAC.Each Brahmos regiment comes with olny 67 missiles, 5 launchers and two command posts,along the 4000kms bordering china.
    when china deploys 1500 mrbm towards taiwan,we indians have just 2 regiments of brahmos against china force.
