India to Integrate HELENA ATGM on its Dhruv Helicopters

India is looking to equip its Advanced Light Helicopter Dhruv helicopters with HELINA air to surface anti-tank missiles in next couple of years.

HELINA is an improved version of the Nag anti-tank missile, It is being developed by the DRDO and scheduled for end user trials in 2013. Missile will have a range of 8 kilometers.

DRDO is also looking to statrt development of the Short Range Surface-to-Air Missile (SR-SAM) with help from France. SR- SAM will have a range of 8 to 9 kilometers.
